8:30 AM – 10:00 AM How Much Do You Know? Lytic Intervention in
Thrombotic Emergencies

Interactive overview session addressing indications and contraindications to the use of lytics in the treatment of thrombotic emergencies. The session includes:
Identifying candidates for lytic therapy
Contraindications to lytic therapy
Follow-up interventions and monitoring
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Thrombotic Emergencies: Analysis and Intervention
Case-based, rotating workshops; together with emergency medicine thought leaders, participants will analyze lytic intervention scenarios directed at the following thrombotic emergencies. Each team will be encouraged to review, critique, and discuss the cases presented.

Pulmonary Embolism
Noon – 1:00 PM Lunch
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Thrombotic Emergencies: Analysis and Intervention
Case-based, rotating workshops; together with emergency medicine thought leaders, residents will analyze lytic intervention scenarios directed at the following thrombotic emergencies. Each team will be encouraged to review, critique, and discuss the cases presented.
Acute Ischemic Stroke
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Panel Discussion
The entire group will meet at the end of the workshop day for a Q&A session among all faculty and residents to discuss what has been learned, and how it might be used at the residents’ home institutions.
3:00 PM - 3:15 PM Break
3:15 PM – 5:00 PM Speaker Training Session and Concluding Remarks
A professional Speaker Trainer will provide an overview of "How to Make an Effective Presentation." Key points from the Lytics in Practice program will be specifically addressed.

The workshop concludes with closing comments, a completion of program evaluations, and the distribution of certificates of program completion.
